The Lab School of Washington Gala Co-Chairs wanted to create an original theme for their annual awards gala that incorporated birds. Their concept was to include a variety of bird types. These seemingly ordinary creatures were used to illustrate the significance of seeing learning from alternative perspectives. The birds, although not at the same plane, can engage and inspire one another. The birds, representing students and educators alike, all have the ability to fly, and with the right encouragement, “to achieve new heights.”
