Lalie earned a BA in history from Furman University
Studied photography, illustration and graphic design with multiple programs including at Furman, The Smithsonian Associates and The Corcoran School of Art
For over twenty-years, she has been creating – invitations, logos, illustrations, product designs, promo campaigns, non-profit fundraisers and books
Marketing & Publishing
Lalie began her career in book publishing in NYC, working in the editorial and marketing departments at Oxford University Press. She transitioned to DC (a city she loves) and worked in publicity and advertising for the Brookings Institution Press.
She has published two books. Her first The NCRC Primer was commissioned by the National Child Research Center, one of the nation’s most established, diverse and imaginative pre-schools. In her second book, The Graceful Exit, she worked with authors, Mona Hanford and Adrienne Hand, to illustrate and market an accessible resource for families facing end-of-life issues.
Non-Profit Organizations
Lalie has served in numerous volunteer leadership roles for multiple non-profits including
serving as Senior Warden of her church
chairing large-scaled fundraising galas and anniversary celebrations,
participating in several advisory councils
